Why go with us

Respectful watching, a memory that lasts.

We don't chase dolphins or stage a "show". We approach slowly and let the natural encounter happen on its own.

Comfortable boat

A spacious boat with a WC and a covered salon for up to 50 people — shelter and comfort even when the weather turns.

Local guides

Skippers and guides who grew up on this sea and know where and when dolphins usually appear.

Sea-first ethics

We never chase or disturb them — we let the encounter happen naturally, following guidelines for watching marine mammals.

What our guests say

★★★★★
The most magical and amazing experience, I nearly cried. I've always dreamed of seeing dolphins and this was such a beautiful and memorable experience. One of the dolphins came right up to the boat, we could hear him making adorable squeaking noises. Truly amazing. The guide was kind and told us about his home island which was near where we saw the dolphins. Instead of addressing the whole group he would come round and chat with you individually in smaller groups which felt lovely and personable. Highly recommend!

Reviews from GetYourGuide

Vrgada is our home — and the base of the oldest active fishing cooperative on the Croatian islands.

We sail the waters around the island of Vrgada, which we've known for generations. Behind us stands a fishing cooperative running since 1909 — the oldest still active on the Croatian islands. Every tour carries a piece of that story.

Meet the bottlenose dolphin

The common bottlenose dolphin is the Adriatic's best-known resident and the species we most often meet on tours. Here's what's good to know.

Dobri dupin uz otok Vrgadu

Up to 4 m

Adults grow 2.5–4 m and weigh 150–300 kg.

40–50 years

That's a bottlenose dolphin's lifespan.

Year-round resident

The only dolphin living in the Adriatic all year long.

Live in pods

Highly social; they communicate by whistles and echolocation.

Fish & squid

The core of their diet in the Adriatic.

Strictly protected

A protected species in Croatia — we watch from a distance.

Dolphins are magnificent wild animals, and no one controls how they behave. Sometimes they play, leap and race the boat; sometimes they have other plans — and that is exactly what makes every encounter real and unforgettable.
